My review on Princess Agents ep5

Story gets more interesting, interactions are more eye catching, the fight/practice scene between master and Xing’er is like a choreographed dance and I enjoyed watching it. The scene between the servant girl in Lavender and Xing’er was also pretty cool, every scene with Xing’er fighting the bullies was cool.

On the whole, this episode so far has been the best episode for me, the 4 previous eps I was quite bored with how slow the whole story was moving and I didn’t feel any interest in following up. One reason for me wanting to follow up was French subs on viki which help me get better at French.

The interior design and interior sets I was quite satisfied with but some exterior scenes were too distracting and just too colourful and bright and some seemed too fake. I couldn’t relate to them as much as I wanted to. Comparing to some other Chinese dramas I have watched so far, the exteriors were poor.

Story wise if I compare it to some other dramas I have watched like Princess Weiyoung and The King’s Woman, this drama story wise and set design wise has not been any better.

The Characters so far:

Xing’er: Strong, determined, smart. I like this girl.

Yan Xun: The guy’s teeth and smile did it for me since the first sight! LOL! I totally am into this guy. I’m not even sure why. If looks were the only reason to fall for someone then that would be it for me. There is something about his facial bones and look that attracts me. Spectacular face somehow also suitable for a candidate villain face. I ship this guy whatsoever.

Yan Yuwen: Too stiff and solid. Almost no emotions, I can’t say if I like him and respect him for his sustained manner and attitude or am rather bored and frustrated with it.
